New York shooting leaves one person dead
One person killed and three others wounded in a shooting at a music venue in New York
The police have closed of the surrounding areas around the Irving Plaza
New York police have said the shooting happened at Irving Plaza, near Union Square, Manhattan, where a performance by hip-hop artist TI was scheduled on Wednesday evening.
According to the New York Times, the victims were three men, one of whom died, and a woman.
No one has been arrested yet and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
The BBC mentions witness reports which claim panic inside the concert hall when the shots were fired.
In the meantime, the police have sealed off the area around the venue.
