Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding will be held on Saturday 19 May 2018, Kensington Palace announced this evening.

The couple confirmed their engagement in November, indicating that the wedding would be held at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

The wedding will take place roughly one month after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to welcome their third child to the family.

Markle, who is a member of the Protestant faith, will be baptized into the Church of England and confirmed before the wedding.

The wedding will be on the same day as the FA Cup Final, which Prince William normally attends as FA president.
