Tries by Attard and D. Casha, one converted by C. Casha opened up a12 point lead. However this inspired Kavallieri to come back with disciplined play and two tries by Bartolo and Cassar pulled back 10 points at half time.

In the second half Falcons put on heavy forward pressure and C. Casha and Sultana scored tries with Casha converting one. A superb try by Cassar was Kavallieri’s only reply, when she destroyed the Falcons defence with a swerving change of pace. However Kavallieri  they lost their pattern under pressure and indulged in several poor kicks.

This was a fine and exciting, running game to watch and showed how much Women’s Rugby is improving in Malta.
