The Krishna C.C coming from the previous weeks defeat to Melita, played against Marsa C.C who won their last game very convincingly against Melita. The Krishna team were missing Andy Lenard, Kevin Krishna, John Rusher and Tony Slater which left big holes in their bowling department. The Krishna team also had two women playing in their team.

The Krishna team batted first. Nowell Khosla top scored with one of his best innings with sixty three runs which included five fours and two sixes. Part of his innings was the first time in Malta Cricket history that a married couple were batting together. Carole Kholsa managed to be the not out batsperson when Nowell was the last man out.

Puneet Gupta batted well and made twenty three runs. John Grima and Mike Caruana both made fifteen runs apiece. Adam Krishna and Bikram Arora both made a dozen runs each. With extras totalling twenty one the Krishna team were bowled out with five balls remaining, with a reasonable score of 167 runs, considering the bowling attack they had.

For the Marsa team, Ewan Prezens was top wicket taker with three. Haroon Majeed and Sarfraz Ali took two a piece while Mike Caruana and Matthew Gillard both took a wicket each. Haroon Majeed also took two great catches.

In reply Malcolm Crabbe led the way with a fine fifty which included five fours and a six. Tony Azzopardi batted well for twenty one runs and Haroon Majeed nineteen runs. Derek Ali chipped in with eleven runs which included a six. Apart from these no made it into double figures. The Marsa team totalled 151 runs , seventeen short of their target for victory.

Their annoyance would be that they were bowled out with seventeen balls remaining. The Krishna team claimed an unbelievable win and earned ten points while the Marsa team earned four.

Next Saturday the Marsa team take on Melita. In the morning the Sunoco Cricket academy will be from 9:00am till 10:30am.
