The first game was between Marsa and Old Spots where the later batted first. The number one batsmen D.Lumley proved his worth for his side by top scoring with twenty four runs which included three boundaries. A good effort from D.Watson making eighteen runs to have the scoreboard ticking was all the visitors could muster. If it hadn't been for eighteen extras their final score of 91 could have been much lower.

The Marsa bowlers bowled well in this game with Qadir Khan,Haroon Majeed and Sarfraz Ali taking two wickets each while Chris Riordan, Ronnie Sacco and Andrew Naudi took a wicket each. The Marsa team were not worried about making the total until they were five wickets down for twenty four runs.

Enter Haroon Majeed who put the home team back on track with thirty two runs from sixteen balls which included two sixes and three fours. Puneet Gupta (seven runs), Chris Riordan (eleven runs), Kevin Krishna (six runs) , Qadir Khan (seven runs) and thirteen extras helped the home tim reach their target. For Old Spots, J.Hicks and J.Hardman took two wickets each while D.Watson,S.Hall and D.Leng took a wicket each.

The second game Old Spots played Milan C.C, In which Milan dominated the game and now face Marsa in the third game to see who will win the tournament.

In the third game Milan batted first and made a total of 127 runs. Sonu (twenty six runs), Krishna (forty two runs, six fours) and Yogesh (twenty six runs) were the top scorers. For Marsa Joy Ghoseroy was the master of deception taking four wickets, Sumair Khan took two while Bikram Arora and Gordon Hewitt took one each.

The Marsa team were confident again until they lost five wickets for twelve runs and even twenty four runs from John Prior, thirteen runs from Ghoseroy and eleven runs from Shah Nawaaz could not pull them out of the hole they fell into. For Milan Amir,Mukesh and Bryan took two wickets each while Nand took one. Milan win the game and the tournament.

Next Weekend the Marsa team host returning team (seventh time) Fiddlers C.C in a three game series with the third game being played the following Wednesday. So far the Marsa team has beaten Fiddlers in a series once.

On Saturday the Sunoco Cricket Academy will be from 9:00 till 10:30am.
