In this edition the headline fight has been announced as WBUv International Champion ‘SUPER’ STEVE MARTIN challenging Slaibi. Slaibi who turns 26 in December and is ranked 18th in Germany’s National Ranking System. In his previous appearances at the Dolmen ‘Super’ Steve Martin thrilled his legion of fans with his none stop action packed performance and who’s thrilling style and abilities will certainly entertain crowd.

Co-headlining is equally exciting. Tyrone “El Terrible” Borg of Fight Factory, Marsa, will face our fighting veteran Steve “the Cobra” Aquilina. Aquilina is well known both in the UK as an ex holder of the BBBofC Midlands Area Champions. His claim to fame is losing to ex World Champion Chris Eubank as well as facing all the big names in Malta, including Ex WBB, WBO & WBF and current WBUv Champion Scott Dixon. Borg is the current Light Heavyweight Prize Fighting Champion and will be fighting for his first three minute rounds.

Also making his welcome return to the “Oracle Arena” is the current & defending Heavyweight Prize Fighter Champion Mark Cutajar. He will be joined by Michael Carter, Darren Borg and Malcolm Sciberras. The draw will be held live and the tournament will consist of 2 semi-final fight followed by the final. Tournament Fights are more often decided by knockout or technical knockout, meaning the referee decides a fighter cannot continue because of injuries such as cuts to the face, or because of exhaustion. But if a fight goes the full distance, the result is decided by a team of three judges who keep score during the fight by awarding points for legal punches.

Supporting this Heavyweight Tournament will be a sensational Semi Professional boxing undercard, headed up by Independent Boxing Association.

Fight Factory’s female prospect Mandy Cortis has been matched up to box Kelly Young. This fight will consist of three two minute rounds. This will be Cortis’s second fight and will be eyeing up her second victory in the Bantamweight female category.

Nico Sciberras, ranked number 1 in the National Semi-Pro League, will be making a loud statement following a controversial decision at his last fight at the Oracle as he will now face Christian Chafai in a four by two minute round fight at the Lightweight category.

Another Fight Factory fighter James Borg will face Karol's Yates in a four by two minute rounds in the Welterweight category.

Garth ‘the Problem’ Galea will take on Alex Boswell for another four by two minute contest in the 68Kg Welterweight category. Now showing glimpses of the potential that has been spoken about vehemently by those within Malta’s knowledgeable boxing circle, Galea firmly believes that 2013 will be the year where he can capitalise on his performances and compete for further honours before the year’s end.

Richard ‘the Viper’ Vella and Dino Shields is scheduled for a six by two minute rounds for the Maltese WBUv Semi Pro National Championship. Vella is one of boxing’s most exciting up and coming fighters within the Maltese Islands with only one debatable points loss to Clayton Vella. This year, the Viper has had two big KO wins against the UK IBA fighters Ashley Friend & Mark Butler.

Last but not least Chris Debone vs Jack O'Sullivan for a six by two minute rounds in a mutually agreed weight of 85kg while Miro Slav will face Ed the Shed will compete in a four by two minute rounds.
