Orange sugar

  • 1 orange, zest only
  • 1 cup sugar

  1. Finely zest the orange making sure to avoid the bitter, white pith.
  2. Add it to the sugar – you can use white or brown sugar.
  3. Store in an airtight container.

This is great for sprinkling on pancakes or French toast, making shortbread or sugar cookies, cheesecakes or chocolate puddings or orange soufflés.
