GO plc will be launching 4G+ mobile internet to its clients in Malta next year.

4G+ will operate by bringing together more than one 4G frequency, resulting in maximum download and upload speeds that are multiple times faster than the current 4G speeds. The use of multiple frequencies will also increase network capacity, ensuring speeds remain high.

4G+ will be made available in 2017 after various field tests are carried out early on, and following the necessary allocation of spectrum by the regulator.
