Bank of Valletta is introducing a one-step activation process applied to all cards, with the aim of safeguarding customers against unauthorised use.

Announcing the measure, Ivo Camilleri, electronic banking executiveat Bank of Valletta explained that upon receiving a card, customers may activate it either by SMS, following step-by-step instructions dispatched with the card, or by contacting the BOV Customer Service Centre, where a representative will take the necessary measures to authenticate the cardholder and activate the card.

The BOV Customer Service Centre is available every day between 8.00am and 8.00pm, excluding Sundays and public holidays.
