Deloitte Malta wins ‘National Tax Firm of the Year 2015’
Boxing for a good cause
Promoter Paul Borg brings another night of semi-professional boxing at the MFCC, Ta Qali on July 20, 2012.
10 July 2012, 12:00am
The Malta EBF boxing federation will be raising money for Francesca, to give her a holiday of a lifetime, for her and her family.
Francesca suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that affects her lungs and pancreas. Francesca is constantly under heavy medication as no cure has yet been found for this life threatening disease.
The Malta EBF would like to help as much as possible, and the best way to do this was to organise great night of boxing dedicated to her.
Boxing fans will be treated to eight fantastic fights. The main event will be Malta's unbeaten Billy 'The Hitman' Corito vs Eric 'The Viking' Thompson. Corito is preparing for this fight by UK MMA fighter Ed Smith and Billy's physical conditioning is in the hands of Haithem Lamouzz from Lords Gym. Billy's corner man will be Andre Zeitoun from Paris, France. It will be the third time Andre has travelled to Malta to be in Corito's corner. This week professional boxer Carl Bowling from the UK will also be training with Corito. Bowling was sent by his trainer Paul Goode who also has plans to come to Malta and train local boxers.
Other fights on the night are Tyron Borg v Cayan Hughes, Dione Galea vs Jason Curtis, Etienne Spiteri vs Paul Marsden, Justin Grech vs Mike Roberts, Joseph Bonello vs Gary Catterill, Brandon Borg vs Billy Shah and finally Lydon Chircop vs Omar Dusari.
The Malta EBF would like to thank their main sponsors Mr Michael Bonello of Remax Tigne, Darren Casha from MedAsia Playa lido and Christopher Cassar of Party Bus.
For tickets and more information contact Paul Borg on 9900 3244 or Joseph Borg on 9914 7147.
