Billy 'The Hitman' Corito defeats McGarry to remain undefeated
On the 28th January 2011 a boxing tournament was held at the Orpheum Theatre in Gzira.
Approximately 1000 spectators witnessed the spectacular event.
The most awaited fight between Maltese boxer Billy 'Hitman' Corito and English boxer Marc 'Chunk' McGarry was stopped by the referee after just a couple of seconds in the first round.
The English boxer could not keep up with the power of Corito's punches. The referee immediately stopped the fight.
Corito remains undefeated and increased his record to six fights with six wins all coming by way of knockout.
In other bouts, Maltese boxer Dione Galea defeated English boxer Nathan Powell. The fight went the full distance with Galea winning on points.
Daniel Attard defeated Tylor Olivia via TKO in the third round.
Justin Grech defeated Sean Melly via TKO in the second round and finally the two exhibition fights were also held.
Brothers Rodney Mercieca and Darren Mercieca went head to head while 'Super' Scott Dixon took on Steve Martin.
