Marsa go top after narrow win over Marauders

Malta all-rounder Bikram Arora struck yet another 50 runs as Marsa CC went top of the Malta Cricket League.

Match 3: Marsa CC 156 for 4 defeated Malta Marauders CC 148 for 7

Arora received excellent support once again from Haroon Mughal (40 runs). For Marauders, David Marks and Sean Byrne conceded only 14 runs apiece but it was the wily Tony Slater who took the bowling honours with 2 wickets for 11 runs.

Byrne (61 runs) and Marks (45 runs) were also the shining lights in Marauders’ run chase. Chris Belford (2 for 27), Haroon Mughal (2 for 29) and young Ethan Xuereb (2 for 39) shared the wickets for Marsa. A special mention must go to Sid Anand for his tidy spell of 1 for 19. His efforts were instrumental in Marsa’s victory.
