David Guetta to open EURO 2016 despite protests and security threats

Despite various security concerns, Euro 2016 will commence this evening with a short opening ceremony followed by the first Match from group A between France and Romania.

Stade de France in Paris will tonight be at the centre of attraction after months` long of anticipation. In few moments, David Guetta will be singing the official song of Euro 2016 entitled `This One`s for You`. He will be accompanied by Swedish singer and song writer Zara Larsson. They will be joined by 600 chorographical dancers. 150 of these dancers will perform `the can-can`, a traditional French dance. The opening ceremony will also feature an acrobatic demonstration by the French force who will perform the `Patrouille de France'.

Following the opening celebration, France and Romania will kick off the tournament. These two teams last encounter in the UEFA Euro cup was exactly 20 years ago, on June 10th 1996. On that occasion, France won the game 1-0 with the winning goal being scored by Dugarry. Coincidently, the present French coach, Didier Deschamps was the French captain during the 1996 match.

France will come into this game as the hosts and favourites. With the likes of Juventus star man Paul Pogba and Athletico`s Madrid youngster, Griezmann, the pressure will sure be on the blues whose last competitive encounter was in the quarter finals of the 2014 World Cup against the Germans. On the other hand, Romania have nothing to lose since all the pressure is on the French team, who have last won a European Championship back in 2000 when they managed to beat Italy in the final.

France: Lloris (c), Evra, Rami, Kante`, Griezmann, Payet, Giroud, Matuidi, Pogba, Sagna, Koscienly.

Romania: Tatarusanu, Rat, Hoban, Chiriches (c), Pintilii, Stanciu, Andone, Stancu, Popa, Grigore, Sapunaru.

The match will be controlled by Viktor Kassai from the Hungarian federation.
