After a shaky start to the season it seems the situation is starting to settle for new coach Gilbert Agius.

Valletta had to wait till the 32nd minute before they scored the first goal of the match. Roderick Briffa was unlucky to hit the crossbar with his shot and off the rebound Adrian Zahra served Lateef Elford-Alliyu who then beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia with his low shot.

In the 63rd minute, Valletta made it 2-0. Ryan Fenech passed the ball to Elford-Alliyu who progressed into the area.  Elford-Alliyu then passed to Alex Barboza Terra to have the latter beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.

Four minutes before the end of the match, Valletta made it 3-0. Off a cross by Alex Barboza Terra, Ian Azzopardi beat Qormi’s goalkeeper with a header.

Valletta made sure they took home all three points in the 90th minute when Luke Montebello beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia after receiving a precise cross from Ryan Fenech.
