Francesco Toldo to join Cordoba for training camp at Luxol

It was revealed yesterday that Inter's former goalkeeper Francesco Toldo will be joining Ivan Cordoba at his training camp organised by Inter Club Pupi Zanetti Malta

Francesco Toldo will be in Malta in December for a three day training camp
Inter Club PUPI Zanetti Malta in collaboration with Luxol Sports Club are organising a 3-day training camp. This will give Maltese and Gozitan children the opportunity to be in the same football pitch with ex-international footballers, Ivan Ramiro Cordoba and Francesco Toldo.

Iván Ramiro Córdoba played 324 official matches and scored 15 goals for FC Internazionale Milano , moreover he was also the vice captain of the team. Córdoba also represented his country, Colombia 73 times and also served as captain. In his illustrious carrier he won the Serie A 5 times, 4 Coppa Italia, 4 Supercoppa Italiana, 1 UEFA Champions League and 1 FIFA Club World Cup between 2005 and 2010. His only success with Colombia was the Copa America victory in 2001 with a 1-0 win over Mexico, and he was the scorer.

Born in Padua, Veneto, Toldo started his career with A.C. Milan. He never played a game with the club however, being loaned during his link, successively to Hellas Verona FC, Trentino Calcio 1921 and Ravenna Calcio. Toldo then joined AC Fiorentina, and became the Viola club's starter for eight seasons. One year before Fiorentina faced bankruptcy, in 2001, Toldo transferred to F.C. Internazionale Milano. At Inter Toldo soon became a fan favourite and was noted for his passionate performances. A great memory for Inter fans was his equalising goal in the last minute against Juventus in the 2002-03 season. The game finished 1-1 but Toldo was the hero of the day. Toldo was the number one goalkeeper until the summer of 2005.
Francesco Toldo has had a very successful football carrer winning the Coppa Italia five times (two with Fiorentina and three with Inter), The Supercoppa Italiana four times (one with Fiorentina and three with Inter), the Serie A title five times with Inter and the highlight of his career the UEFA Champions League wit Inter in 2010. He also represented Italy in the National team 28 times.

During the visit by both players, activities will be held in aid of the Fundacion Columbia te quiere ver Onlus. This is a non-profit organization created by the initiative of Córdoba himself, for Colombian children. The Foundation promotes and supports health programs, education and sports, especially targeted at the most needy children .
