BOV GFA Players of the Month

Nadur Youngsters midfielder Charles Mercieca is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for September 2014.

Mercieca was a major protagonist in the GFA First Division Knockout competition, scoring Nadur’s winner against Kercem Ajax in the semi-final and netting one of Nadur’s goals in their 2-1 victory over Oratory youths in the final to lift the trophy.

Reigning GFA Champions Xewkija Tigers forward John Camilleri showed his mettle in Xewkija’s 6-2 win over Oratory Youths with two goals as well as scoring their only goal in the 1-1 draw against Kercem Ajax.

Horace Laudi, Gozo Regional Manager at Bank of Valletta presented the trophies to the players, both of whom chose the Gozo section of Puttinu Cares to benefit from the donation related to this award.
