Premier Division Standing Committee addresses corruption in local football

PDSC to officially present proposals to the Football Association

The current position against corruption in local Football maintained by the Premier Division Standing Committee was again discussed yesterday evening together with MFA Secretary General Bjorn Vassallo and MFA Integrity Officer Franz Tabone.

In the meeting many important aspects surrounding this delicate issue were discussed where it was made clear that corruption is a disease which is infecting global Football and not just the local scene.  A surely most positive outcome during the meeting was the clear agreement between those present expressing the motivation and desire to fight corruption, and suggestions on the best possible strategies to move forward.

The collaboration and togetherness between clubs and the Football Association was repeatedly stressed by the members addressing the meeting, where it was emphasised that only with proper unity, collaboration and direction can the Action-plan against corruption have the desired effect.

During the meeting the PDSC also came up with a number of suggestions and ideas in the current battle with corruption where proposals being drawn by the board are expected to be officially presented to the MFA in the coming days.
