Melita and Luxol face off in BOV First Division Derby

Rivals Melita and Luxol clash this evening at the Centenary Stadium with Melita needing to atleast claim a point to secure a play- off spot for promotion.  Luxol on the other hand have already won promotion to the Premier League next season.

The other match at the Luxol Stadium features leaders Pembroke and St.Georges’ with St.Georges needing to win to have any hope of beating Melita to third place. 

Both matches kick off at 19:30pm.

Melita are currently occupying third place on 44 points, closely followed by Gzira on 42, Gudja and St.Georges’ on 41.

Victory for Melita would end all hopes for the other teams in contention while a draw could also prove to be enough to secure a play off spot.
