Guardiola’s perfect record continues

Pep Guardolia’s perfect record as Manchester City manager kept going after a double from Aguero and Nolito earned City a 4-1 win over Stoke.

Manchester City were clearly the better side, and won a penalty after 26 minutes. Shawcorss was judged to have pulled Otamendi in the penalty area, and the referee whistled for a penalty. From the resulting penalty,  Aguero made no mistake to open the score.

Aguero doubled the score eight minutes later. From De Bruyne’s free kick, the Argentine striker glanced a header into the bottom corner.

Three minutes into the second half, Stoke were back into the game after Mike Dean whistled another penalty , this time against Sterling. From the penalty, Bojan Krkic converted past Willy Caballero who started again ahead of Joe Hart.

Stoke tried to push for an equaliser as City showed signs of fatigue. However, Nolito had other ideas as he came off the bench to score a double.

On the 86th minute, Iheanacho managed to beat the keeper after driving into the box and swapping passes with Silva, before rolling the ball to Nolito at the back post, who had an easy finish.

The Spanish player managed to score another goal five minutes into additional time. Sterling went through on goal, but decided to roll the ball to Nolito. In front of an open goal, Nolito placed the ball into the net to make it 4-1.

Following this win, Manchester City will join Manchester United with six points out of two games.
