Tarxien Rainbows register back to back wins

The Rainbows went ahead on the 49th minute when Claudio Frances found Alex da Paixao. The Brazilian went past a defender and fired a low shot that ended up behind David Cassar.

Jacques Scerri’s side doubled the score on the 67th minute.  Daniel Ponce de Leon Garcia went through on goal and finished inside the net after going round the Ħamrun goalkeeper.

The Spartans were close to reduce the margin on the 74th minute. Saturday Nanapere passed the ball towards Haruna Garba whose finish hit the upright.

Ħamrun managed to score a late goal in the additional time. Garba sent a cross inside the penalty area that was met by Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza who headed home.
