Sliema Wanderers and Mosta earned a point each after Salomon Wisdom’s goal in the first half was cancelled out by Njongo Priso as the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

The Wanderers went close to open the score on the 13th minute. Salomon Wisdom sent an excellent pass towards Jean Paul Farrugia, but the Maltese striker failed to make contact with the ball.

Sliema went ahead on the 24th minute. Mathias Muchardi went on the right flank and delivered a cross that found Farrugia whose effort was partially saved by Yenz Cini. The ball fell for Wisdom who slotted the ball inside the net.

Mosta pushed for an equaliser in the second half and were rewarded for their efforts on the 57th minute. Kevaun Atkinson sent a cross inside the penalty area that was met by Njongo Priso. The Cameroonian footballer hit a low shot that took a deflection off Alex Muscat before ending up inside the net.

Following this result, Sliema are sixth in the table with nineteen points, while Mosta are eleventh with eight.
