BOV Premier League | Ħamrun Spartans 2 – Tarxien Rainbows 3

In an entertaining clash, Tarxien Rainbows registered a 3-2 win over Ħamrun Spartans.

The Rainbows went ahead on the 11th minute. Alex da Paixao Alves went on the right flank and delivered the ball towards Julian Galea who finished past Fredrick Tabone.

Ħamrun scored the equalising goal on the 58th minute. Jake Grech sent a cross towards Luke Sciberras who found Massimiliano Giusti. The latter kept his composure and finished past Andrea Cassar.

The Spartans kept on pushing forward and went ahead for the first time on the 63rd minute. Jake Grech fired a long range shot which was parried by Cassar. Giusti took control of the rebound and finished past Cassar once more.

Joseph Zerafa’s side equalised on the 85th minute. From a free kick, Da Paixao Alves delivered the ball inside the penalty area and Matthew Tabone headed home.

Tarxien managed to score the winning goal on the 90th minute. From a corner, Daniel Ponce De Leon Garcia sent a cross inside the penalty area. In his attempts to clear the ball, Philip Chircop finished inside his own net.
