Hibernians made a flying start to the match and went ahead on the 8th minute. Gilmar Ribeiro Da Silva received the ball from Clayton Failla and fired a stunning shot that gave Yenz Cini no chance.

The Paolites doubled the score on the 20th minute. Following a free kick, Gilmar served Failla and the latter tried to conclude without success. Possession fell for Jorge Da Silva Pereira who fired a shot that took a deflection off a Mosta defender and ended up inside the net.

On the 26th minute, Hibs went close to increase the margin of the score. Marcelo Dias sent a cross towards Jurgen Degabriele who headed slightly over.

On the half hour mark, Mark Miller’s side scored their third goal. Bjorn Kristensen hit a shot from the centre of the pitch which bounced in front of Cini before ending up inside the net.

Hibs started the second half the way they ended the first and scored their fourth goal on the 53rd minute. Marcelo Dias went on the right flank and sent a cross towards the unmarked Gilmar who in front of an open goal finished home.

Mosta responded on the 58th minute through Kyle Frendo. The twenty-one year old hit a shot from distance that went wide.

Mosta’s best chance came on the 69th minute. Njongo Priso Doding sent a dangerous cross inside the penalty area which Andrew Hogg blocked. The ball fell for Mario Toth whose effort from close range went high.

Hibernians had another opportunity to score more goals on the 87th minute. Montell Moore served Dejan Bojevic and the latter hit a shot that forced a good save from Cini.
