Porto had another player sent off in the first half as Paulo Dybala’s penalty was enough to secure a 3-0 aggregate win for Juventus.

Juventus started on the attack and were close after three minutes. Alex Sandro went down the left flank and sent a cross towards the far post in the path of Dybala who finished off target.

Three minutes later, Dybala was close again. Leonardo Bonucci delivered the ball towards Mario Mandzukic and the latter served Dybala. The Argentine tried his luck from distance, but his shot went wide.

Porto replied on the 10th minute. Francisco Soares sent a shot from outside the penalty area that was neutralised by Gianluigi Buffon.

The Italian champions kept on putting pressure and had another opportunity on the 23rd minute. Juan Cuadrado sent a good cross towards Mandzukic whose effort was well saved by Casillas.

On the 40th minute, Juventus were awarded a penalty and Maxi Pereira was sent off. Following a cross inside the penalty area, Mandzukic forced a good save from Iker Casillas. Rebound fell for Gonzalo Hinguain whose effort was destined for the net, but the Porto player blocked it with his hand. The referee pointed towards the spot and sent off the Uruguayan. From the penalty spot, Dybala made no mistake and converted past Casillas to put Juve 1-0 ahead.

Three minutes into the second half, Casillas had to be on the alert to deny Juventus. Following a good run by Dybala, Dani Alves sent a dangerous cross inside the penalty area. In his attempts to clear the ball, Danilo forced a great save from his goalkeeper.

A minute later, Porto lost a golden opportunity. The Portuguese team hit back on the counter and Soares went through on goal. However, the Brazilian slipped his effort wide of the upright.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side didn’t sit back and produced another good chance on the 59th minute. Mandzukic sent a precise cross towards Marko Pjaca. The Croatian youngster controlled the ball and unleashed a volley that went wide.

On the 66th minute, it was Hinguain who nearly scored the second goal of the match for Juventus. The striker received the ball inside the penalty area and hit a low shot that went slightly wide.

Porto had another chance to equalise on the 82nd minute. Otavio sent Diogo Jota through and the latter attempted to place the ball inside the net, but his effort went wide.

Leicester City 2 – Sevilla 0

Meanwhile, Leicester City’s run in the Champions League will continue after overturning their 2-1 defeat in Spain with a 2-0 home win. Wes Morgan and Marc Albrighton scored for the English Champions.
