Hibernians move a step closer to winning the Premier League following a 2-0 win over Gżira United.

Hibernians broke the deadlock on the 11th minute. Jurgen Degabriele served Jorge Da Silva Pereira and the latter hit a powerful drive past Jurgen Borg.

On the 39th minute, Hibs doubled the score. Gilmar Da Silva Ribeiro hit a low shot that gave Borg no chance.

Things became more difficult for the Maroons on the 78th minute as they had Louis Rene Zome sent off for committing a violent conduct.

Following this result, the Paolites are five points clear of Balzan and six of Valletta.
