The race will cover a distance of 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and a 10km run. The race will be draft legal, which means that racers ride very closely behind another in a pack giving them aero dynamic advantage, enabling them to down on wind resistance and expend less energy.

The Triathlon Olimpico Mazara del Vallo will be Borg’s eleventh race abroad, of which Borg made it to eight podiums. This race is a popular race where all top regional triathletes will be taking part.

Borg has just returned from a very successful showing in the 5150 Standard Distance Triathlon in Budapest, where he secured a second place podium in his hotly contested age group.

Borg’s participation in the Triathlon Olimpico Mazara del Vallo is possible through the support of Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club, Garmin Malta, MZ investments, Go&Fun, Powerbar, fragrances.com and On.

Birkirkara St. Joseph and National Team Triathlete Keith Galea and National Triathlon Coach Dermot Galea will also be on the starting line of the Triathlon Olimpico Mazara del Vallo which will take place on Sunday 6th September.
