Xjenza Malta joins the International Astronautical Federation at IAC 2024
Xjenza Malta proudly joins the prestigious International Astronautical Federation (IAF), marking a significant milestone in advancing Malta’s role within the global space industry and supporting the nation’s National Space Strategy 2022-2027
Xjenza Malta proudly announces its official recognition as a member of the prestigious International Astronautical Federation (IAF). The membership was secured during the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) meeting held between the 14th and 15th October 2024, in Milan, Italy, where Xjenza Malta’s application was approved by a unanimous vote.
This new membership places Xjenza Malta within a global network of over 500 Space and research technological organisations, including leading agencies such as the European Space Agency (ESA) and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). By joining the IAF, Xjenza Malta is strengthening Malta’s international visibility, whilst also advancing the implementation of Malta’s National Space Strategy 2022 - 2027, with a view to further foster collaboration and innovation in the European space industry.
Xjenza Malta Senior Director Mr. Omar Cutajar said: “Our membership within the IAF represents another important step in the ongoing implementation of the National Space Strategy 2022 – 2027. At Xjenza Malta we remain committed at further advancing and supporting the emergence of the local Space sector.”
