Darscover rolls out full Gozo coverage and regional search in bid to reshape property hunting
Darscover has expanded its property search platform to Gozo and introduced new region-level tools across Malta, aiming to offer buyers and renters a faster, clearer and more transparent way to navigate the local housing market
Property search platform Darscover has extended its coverage to Gozo and introduced region-level search tools across Malta, in a move it says will make finding a home “faster, fairer and less frustrating” for buyers and renters.
The platform, which focuses on structured data and multi-language support, now allows users to search specifically in Gozo as well as by regions such as North, South and Central Malta, with filters that drill down to town, neighbourhood and property type.
Joe Ellul-Turner, CEO of Darscover, said the Gozo expansion was a natural next step. “Gozo has its own market dynamics: from farmhouses and holiday lets to long-let apartments for families and remote workers. We wanted our tech to reflect that reality, not treat Gozo as an afterthought or a checkbox.”
Darscover aggregates listings from Maltese agencies alongside private owners, presenting them in a standardised format that highlights key details such as outdoor space, accessibility, energy performance and proximity to services. The company argues this can reduce wasted viewings and improve transparency in a market where information is often fragmented across multiple portals and social media pages.
The platform is also positioning itself as a data partner for local agencies. Regional search tools and analytics allow branches to see where demand is coming from, for example, how many users from Malta are exploring Gozitan properties, or which areas of the island attract the most interest from foreign buyers.
“Gozo deserves the same digital infrastructure as any capital city,” Ellul-Turner added. “If we can give agents better tools and give residents clearer information, everyone wins, whether they’re downsizing, investing, or just trying to leave the rental merry-go-round.”
Darscover’s Gozo rollout includes support for 14 languages, mobile-first search, and interactive maps that show listings across both islands in real time. The company says it will now focus on onboarding more Gozitan agencies and owners in the coming months.
