Yellow users can now rate and review local businesses

For the first time Yellow is introducing a ratings and review feature

Yellow, Discover Local’s upgraded online portal, is equipped with more search filters, media rich content and new features that allow users to rate and review businesses.

Yellow is a local curated and comprehensive search engine providing reliable information about businesses in Malta & Gozo. The additional filters mean users can find exactly what they are looking for - be it a pet-friendly, vegan restaurant or the nearest pharmacy open on a Sunday.

For the first time this mobile-friendly website is introducing a ratings and review feature. “Our upgrades are designed to place the user at the centre of the Yellow experience. We also wanted to give our users the power to rate and review businesses. This means users are able to give companies direct feedback and suggest improvements at the click of a button,” said Edward Mallia, Chief Marketing Officer.

Users who interact with the Yellow portal, through ratings, reviews and uploading photos can become part of the new Yellow Club, for free. By engaging with the website, Yellow Club members earn points and badges redeemable for vouchers and prizes from various outlets in Malta & Gozo.

The upgrades allow mobile phone users to call businesses directly from a Yellow search and also book appointments through Timify, an online-booking platform accessible through the Yellow website.

With requirements changing daily, Yellow’s third generation website now transfers more power to the business owner. “This means that you may now update your company description, imagery, brands, tags, geo-location, contact information, respond to reviews and much more on a daily basis,” said Jason Leigh Gafà, Chief Operations Officer.

These and other upgrades are part of the company’s ongoing shift from print to digital media. The popular Yellow pages directory will still be distributed every year.
