Top Caffé Mauro barista delivers coffee masterclass

Caffé Mauro’s top barista Andrea Faggiana gave students and bartenders a formative masterclass in coffee preparation and presentation

Caffé Mauro’s top barista Andrea Faggiana delivered a wide-ranging presentation on coffee preparation to ITS students and members of the Malta Bartenders Guild at the Valletta market. 

In the first masterclass to ITS students, Faggiana shared his extensive knowledge on coffee preparation, and students experienced hands-on training to refine their skills in the perfect preparation and presentation of coffee. 

Students were presented with an official Caffé Mauro masterclass certificate. 

The other masterclasses were delivered to clients of GSD Marketing Ltd and to members of the Malta Bartenders Guild, an organisation that provides information and knowledge to professionals and enthusiasts in the field of the beverage industry in Malta. Baristas were given a comprehensive and foundational understanding of coffee, starting from the coffee bean in the plantations until it reaches the coffee cup. 

“Caffé Mauro has become a firm favourite among coffee connoisseurs as coffee shops have become part of our lifestyle and ingrained in our daily routine. Our aim was to assist barmen in enhancing their skills to produce and serve the best espresso coffee to the satisfaction of customers. To achieve our aim, the 2016 Italian Espresso Champion, Andrea Faggiana, was invited to Malta through the Caffé Mauro Coffee Academy, to deliver masterclasses on how to produce the perfect cup of coffee,” said Andrea Riffici, Caffé Mauro brand manager at GSD Marketing. 

Faggiana also prepared a range of special edition cappuccinos what the Valletta market, which consists of the black, green, red and blue cappuccino.
