A meeting will be held for representatives of companies and for the general public in preparation for an international workshop on water recycling technologies organised by the Lombardy Environmental Foundation.

The meetings form part of the EU-funded Aquares project, which helps promote the efficient use of wastewater resources and improve policy tools and water management concepts by integrating wastewater reuse into national, regional and local development plans.

The project also puts emphasis on best practices to ensure compliance with water quality standards and promotes the adoption of sustainable development and eco-innovation in agriculture, industry, urban and recreational areas.

Malta is a partner in the project through the Energy and Water Agency.

Anybody interested in participating in the meetings can request information by email [email protected].
