Registration for Summer courses at the Malta Society of Arts open

The Malta Society of Arts has a long-established reputation for organising high-quality courses during its Winter and Summer semesters in various subjects related to the Visual, Applied and Performing Arts. The Summer Courses, which are held over nine weeks between July and September, are taught by excellent teachers who are leaders in their field.

The MSA courses, known for their high-level and backed by the Society’s long experience in the organisation of these courses, are given in the unique ambience of the grand Palazzo de la Salle in Valletta. A Summer Course will usually have nine lessons spread over nine weeks held between Mondays and Saturdays and starting at various times. Registration starts from as little as €45 and varies according to the course.

The range of courses in the Visual Arts includes Art & Crafts, Manga Art, Clay Modelling, Wood Sculpture, Art for Juniors and Art for Leisure for Mature Students, Human Figure Nude Painting, as well as a newly-added Makeup course, which is bound to be very popular.

As regards the Applied Arts, courses available include Ganutell, Cake Decorating, Parchment Craft/Plastic Canvas, Hand Embroidery, Lace Making, Tailoring, Knitting, Cross Stitch, Crochet and Dressmaking, Gold Embroidery and a Patchwork course.

The third field of study is the Performing Arts and Summer Courses will start in July for Guitar (Classical/Acoustic/Electronic), Pianoforte (Open), Violin/Theory of Music, Voice Studies (Pop/Classical), and Drama for Fun (10-15 years).

The various courses are open for people of all ages, starting from 4 years and up to senior/pensioner age, and everyone is encouraged to apply.
