Celebrate Carnival at Esplora with a new interactive walk-in workshop

Science and culture meet this year as Carnival takes over the national science centre

Esplora Interactive Science Centre will be organising a carnival event, Carnival @ esplora, on Saturday 18th February from 10:30am to 5pm and on Sunday 19th February from 11:30am to 6pm.

Aside from all the interactive exhibits that Esplora offers, which amount to around 200, visitors will also have the chance to experience:

1)  10-minute expert talks every 45 minutes on the physics, engineering and mechanics behind floats where two 11 feet Carnival Floats will be present on-site;

2)   An interactive walk-in workshop related to Carnival which will be held at the Activity Centre. Visitors will be able to paint on carnival masks, learn about the science of dies, model on clay and learn about the chemistry behind clay minerals;

3)   A Carnival Costume Competition in our science theatre with 2 categories (Category A - 0-9 years & Category B - 10-16 years) which also includes a Carnival Photo Booth; and

4)   Other activities such as face painting;

The entry tickets will also enable visitors to visit all other Esplora exhibits (excluding the Planetarium).
