[SLIDESHOW] Enrique Iglesias and Nicole Scherzinger return to the Granaries
Isle of MTV headliners Nicole Scherzinger and Enrique Iglesias rocked the Floriana Granaries last night, joined by Dizzee Rascal, DJ Hardwell and 'MTV Push' artist Kiesza, along with local act Funk Initiative.
Having (apparently) swum with some tuna that same morning, Enrique Iglesias and Nicole Scherzinger returned to the Granaries stage in Floriana last night, performing in the ninth edition of the annual – and free-of-charge – concert-cum-tourist bait Isle of MTV.
This is the third time that Iglesias participated in Isle of MTV – as the Spanish-born singer also graced the 2007 and 2008 editions of the event, while Scherzinger had previously performed at the concert while she was still a member of the Pussycat Dolls.
The duo were also joined by up-and-coming 'MTV Push' artist, the electro-pop singer-songwriter Kiesza, as well as East London hip-hop sensation Dizzee Rascal (of 'Bonkers') fame, along with DJ Hardwell.
An innovation to the event this year was the inclusion of a local act, chosen online by popular vote. Funk Initiative, headlined by former Eurovision hopeful Gianluca Bezzina, got to be the opening band at yesterday's concert.
