[WATCH] Christmas Village brings holiday cheer to Valletta!

With the holidays around the corner how can we not be in the Christmas spirit?! Here’s a look at last year’s Christmas market:

Starting today December 2nd, Valletta Waterfront is transformed into a Christmas Village with a mix of décor, music, food and activities to bring in the holiday cheer during this magical time of year.

A Christmas tree with a height of over 35 feet is set up in the central part of the promenade.

What can you expect at this year’s Christmas Season at Valletta Waterfront?

There will be a variety of free activities underneath the tree and along the whole promenade. Christmas bands, children choirs, cribs, live music, stalls and of course Santa Claus! You can find Santa in his workshop and together with his helpers who will be available for photo opportunities.

As during the rest of the year, on weekends and public holidays (and their eves), there will be free children's entertainment. The little ones can enjoy free activities including: balloon modelling, face painting, crafts, games, colouring-ins, meet & greets with all-time favourite characters, puppet shows, bouncy castle and more. The Christmas season will see some extra special seasonal activities planned like a baubles’ balancing display, giant gift Tetris, a light-up Rudolph’s nose challenge and a fun candy cane blowing machine!

Enjoy a beautiful meal at the Valletta Waterfront which has a wonderful variety of dining experiences for any type of outing, event or party with family, friends or colleagues. From a quick after-office drink to an elaborate meal, Valletta Waterfront has that perfect venue, with a wide variety of menu options that can be customised to one’s taste and budget. On colder days, cozy inside or in one of heated outside areas whilst joining in the Christmas cheers and celebrations.

Stroll by the shops which have interesting gifts from jewellery, books, handmade ceramics to local glass for some much needed Christmas shopping!

The Bus 130 takes you to the Valletta Waterfront, and the Barrakka lift makes it also accessible from central Valletta.
