Open letter to C. Attard, who wants to ‘expose feminist narratives for the lies that they are’

An open letter letter from our secret academic ‘K.B.’ to the student of psychology Christopher Attard, who spoke out against ‘the lies of feminist narratives’

What if our prize Pomeranian suddenly decides it’s gender-neutral, what then? What will happen to the cats on campus, will they die out, if they soak up too much of this ‘gender-fluidity’ academic nonsense?

Dear Christopher Attard,

I do not know you, but I sympathise with your position, I really do – I realise that some remember a better time, of stability and certainty, where men were men, women were women, and they all knew their place. I appreciate how confusing it must all seem now – now that feminism has overrun Malta, chiselling away at our values, replacing them with its hysteria and blatant irrationalities.

For a while there, it seemed like it was going to even establish itself. Horrifying thought – where would we be then? Such irrationality turns anchors to reeds, it has no place in the world you desire – it is, rather, to return to the void of groundlessness.

This madness should be confined within the home. Or banished to the fringes of society. At least keep it out of public discourse – that is not its appropriate place. Better yet, let us annihilate it in the void. Let us refuse to listen – let us staunchly carry on in the long established patriarchal tradition of silencing. That way is authorised by a heap of precedents, and it involves safely building upon already-existing values. That way too, our established edifices rise higher. Rise higher, in phallic glory.

Christopher Attard, this is your heartfelt crusade – I know you feel the world’s gone mad, and that must be a terrible thing to deal with.

Why don’t we simply, in fact, deny its existence altogether – confine it to that void where it belongs, where it can babble madly and incoherently? For it has surely felt the touch of some unspeakable Lovecraftian monster. After all, women’s minds do, as you say, have a tendency to ‘ooze’ with an overload of ideas – I’m a woman, and I think I speak for all women, when I say that every time a new idea hits we’re scooping congealed mush out of our stiletto-heeled shoes for days. Let’s bring these facts to the table (ask the psychologists), and let’s take a broom to that unwholesome Thing on our Doorstep.

I choose safety and stability.

The only reason I do not question the foundations for those, is that that way madness lies – and horrible things best left undisturbed.

The nonsense about ‘safe spaces’ in an institutional setting is misplaced. Who ever heard of a woman being made to feel unsafe in one of our proud institutions? If feminists are so prone to fits and instability, then the only place for them is behind closed doors, on a therapist’s couch – let them release their maladjusted anger, frustration, and groundless anxieties where they will not bother the rest of us. Let professionals funnel off the excesses and re-channel their mindless regurgitations into something more socially productive. No one wants to witness such embarrassing displays in public.

Third-wave feminism is a peculiarly persistent mental anomaly/condition, with its rampant delusions and sociopathic tendencies, and should be diagnosed as such. We should understand it for what it is – a plea for men to step in and help them reintegrate.

Otherwise, their shaky superficial values will lead to their crumbling into a tearful anxiety-ridden mess, like an overgrown bush without firm and sturdy phallic support. Don’t get me wrong, what they do in the privacy of their domestic space is their own business – but when they attempt to infect social spaces with their own insecurities – that is where we must draw the line.

Pets, just like feminists in fact (and I do not use the word ‘fact’ lightly), lack the capacity for rational choice – this is why choice must be entrusted to those better-qualified, i.e. those without a feminist bone in their body.

Next on to the effects of all this on children and even pets – because we cannot ignore the traumatic impact it may have. What if our prize Pomeranian suddenly decides it’s gender-neutral, what then? What will happen to the cats on campus, will they die out, if they soak up too much of this ‘gender-fluidity’ academic nonsense? You may laugh, but my point is that it’s that pervasive. And yes, it borders on insanity. Not just borders – it takes a flying leap into the abyss. There, the void again. The v-void. Make of that alliterative logic what you will.

It is no secret that pets don’t think like humans. If that were the case, it would be Animal Farm. And it’s not. Our institutionalised values are a backbone to benevolence.

Pets, just like feminists in fact (and I do not use the word ‘fact’ lightly), lack the capacity for rational choice – this is why choice must be entrusted to those better-qualified, i.e. those without a feminist bone in their body.

These changes are all very sudden – just as if they came out of nowhere. What is wrong with the way things have been done for centuries? Women have reigned over domestic space for centuries – they didn’t complain. And when they did, they were immediately given psychiatric help. We should learn the right lessons from the past.

The idea that sex and gender are unrelated is not a fact, but indeed just one symptom of the feminist pestilence, which is sadly, spreading. It has no basis but experience – and, this is worth reiterating, the experiences of non-straight-white-males are not to be trusted. Such first-hand accounts are delusional, marginal, irrelevant, and in the case of feminists, over-emotional.

Straight white patriarchy is here to stay. It must nobly withstand all challenges from the brain-addled politically correct brigade. This is said in the interests of protecting our sanity. Society’s sanity. Because that is what’s at stake here. Christopher Attard, this is your heartfelt crusade – I know you feel the world’s gone mad, and that must be a terrible thing to deal with. But you are not a lone voice in the wilderness with something important to say, much as you may feel like you are – you have the support of tradition, dominance, privilege. And that is enough to make you feel justified. You don’t have to struggle to be heard.

Needless to say, you don’t need compassion, acceptance and help. You already feel vindicated by your very ‘normality’. Yet, desperately trying to stave off change in fear of the end-times that will, no doubt, be around the corner if feminism were allowed to filthily fester – this must take its toll on you. Particularly since you seem to have taken upon yourself the immense responsibility of representing the ‘normal’.

That warrants compassion. It takes a lot, to wake up every day determined to not depart from that norm – particularly since you seem to feel the pressure’s shifted, and the media has abandoned your cause. There is hope. You may find solace in those remote and unpopular strongholds for normality and sanity, like The Daily Mail.

Well, I have here tried to follow your brand of ‘rationality’, and it hops its self-assured way into absurdities. Yet, even frenzied absurdities are capable of kindling groundless fears. So it’s time now to remarry critical thought to reason. And that involves questioning any narrative’s exclusive claim to truth.
