GreenPak has been operating a responsible and cost effective packaging waste recycling services for over eight years.

GreenPak Coop Society CEO Ing. Mario Schembri said: “With Msida joining GreenPak, there are now over 300,000 residents in 40 Local Councils covered by its recycling systems, making it the largest and most trusted recovery scheme in Malta.”

It is estimated that the Msida community generates some 700 tonnes of recyclable waste annually. Most of this material ends in the landfill, and following the door-to-door information campaign to be carried out by GreenPak starting in November, it is expected that this town would at least reach the minimum 60% recovery target as stipulated by legislation in Malta.
