Watch Sean Gravina's tips for keeping greens fresh in the fridge. Green leaves are best eaten as soon as they are picked as they tend to wilt very quickly. However these tips will buy you a day or so.

Storing green leaves

You will need

  • Green veg
  • Kitchen roll
  • Cold water

Method

  1. Trim the stems off of the green vegetables.
  2. Soak some kitchen roll in cold water.
  3. Wrap the ends in the wet kitchen roll.
  4. Store in the fridge, making sure the greens do not touch the back of the fridge, for up to a day.
