Green ice lollies

When you're trying to stick with a healthier lifestyle staying away from ice cream can be problematic, especially at this time of year. This recipe is your answer. While we've all been drinking green smoothies for a while now, it's easy to simply pop these into the freezer for a healthy take on your summer ice cream snack. 

Makes 8 ice lollies


  • 1 cup spinach
  • ½ cup broccoli 
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 apple
  • 5 dates 
  • 1 thumb-sized piece ginger
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup water 


  1. Place the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth. 
  2. Fill the popsicle moulds to the top and insert stick. 
  3. Freeze until solid (approx. 4 hours). 
  4. To remove from the moulds, place in warm water for 5 seconds and slide out. 
  5. Serve immediately.
