[WATCH] Linguini vongole with chorizo

Living on a Mediterranean island means a simple plate of pasta with clams is a regular treat – not that we’re complaining! Add a little Spanish chorizo and you’ve got yourself a typical Mediterranean dish with a spicy twist. Try this one today. You won’t be sorry.  

Linguini vongole and chorizo


  • 500g vongole
  • 150g chorizo
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 glass white wine
  • Handful parsley, chopped


  1. Boil the linguini in salted water until al dente.
  2. Rinse the clams well in fresh water, removing any that are open.
  3. Chop the chorizo into chunks and fry.
  4. Add the garlic, parsley and chilli and fry till soft.
  5. Add the cherry tomatoes and toss.
  6. Add the white wine and allow to simmer until the alcohol evaporates.
  7. Add the clams and cover with a lid for a few mins until the calms have opened.
  8. Add the lemon and the remaining parsley and toss.
  9. Add the cooked linguini and toss.
  10. Serve immediately.
