Consumers allergic to soya should avoid Carrefour's wheat pasta, health directorate warns

Consumers allergic to soya are urged to avoid a particular brand of pasta since it might contain traces of soya.

The product is Carrefour wheat pasta (Mezze Penne Rigate Nº. 145) with lot number L16B283006 and an expiry date of 07/06/2019, weighing 500g. The pasta originated from Italy.

This product contains traces of soya and should be avoided by people with allergies

The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health said in a statement that this brand must not be consumed by people allergic to soya, because the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed has information that it contains trace amounts.

Carrefour said that part of the consignment has been sold.
