When you fancy a quick coffee, or need to have lunch in hurry, there are few places that can offer good quality nosh at prices reasonable enough to make them regular haunts.

Café Lulu in L’Ibrag is not your ordinary café. An offshoot of Lulu Restaurant, the attitude towards the food they serve is much influenced by the restaurant, using interesting ingredients to spice up sandwiches, wraps, pies, salads and pasta bakes. In fact most of the work in preparation of food for the café takes place at the restaurant kitchen.

Sandwiches are the easiest snack and the ones served at Café Lulu are not your ordinary ham and cheese version. Different ingredients include chevre goat’s cheese, home cured smoked salmon, roast beef and horseradish, cranberries and fig relish to mention but a few.

A few warm dishes are available which change regularly and are all prepared at Lulu Restaurant.

Whatever you choose to eat, save room for dessert. Café Lulu prepare the most exciting cakes that are sure to delight adults and children alike. 18 different varieties of cupcakes are brightly decorated with icing, chocolate flakes, and oreo cookies to mention but a few.

The usual chocolate cakes and banoffee pies are complemented by some more original cakes, like a brightly coloured rainbow cake and a banana and pineapple hummingbird cake. As with the rest of the food served at Café Lulu, cakes are all made fresh, from scratch without using any pre-packed products.

The cakes are so good, after having one portion you are sure to want to take the rest home with you, and at Café Lulu you can. Whole cakes can be made to order and cost approximately €20 each.

As with the cakes, food can be also be ordered. Lulu cater for office lunches, picnics and catering for boats over the summer. Delivery can be arranged for orders over €40.

Of course a café needs to serve fantastic coffee and in this respect Café Lulu does not disappoint. Neapolitan Caffe Kimbo provides for a mean espresso as well as all other types – cappucinos, caffe lattes and macchiatos.
