Chukkas | Meat treats
If you're looking to satisfy your carnivorous side, Chukkas is definitely the place to be. As the official caterers of the Malta Polo Club, the cuisine is inspired by the culinary expertise in Argentina, the home of polo. The restaurant overlooks the polo pitch, and with huge glass windows diners can make a day out of it and take in the game after lunch.

The mark of Argentina is evident upon entrance into the restaurant. Lots of wood, animal prints and shots of a number of polo stars both human and horse, national and international adorn the walls. Training aids and polo sticks hanging on the walls make the restaurant feel more like a polo club.
Chukkas specialise in prime cuts of beef cooked on a traditional Argentine parilla. The meat cooked on the parilla takes its flavour from the wood used to fire the grill rather than traditional charcoal.
Though a selection of different cuts of beef are the order of the day, there are a number of other options to tantalise the taste buds from chicken to pork, lamb, fish and vegetarian dishes.
For those days when a huge meal at lunchtime is not ideal, Chukkas also offer ciabattas, or healthy salads and soups. Being in a central part of the island Chukkas is the ideal place for a quick lunch and can even prepare take aways perfectly suited for office lunches.
A newly refurbished upstairs area allows for exclusivity of groups who want the comforts and privacy of dining at home whilst retaining the sumptuous meals and excellent service without having to do the washing up.
Chukkas is open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and for Sunday lunches.
