Wigi's Kitchen | Straight from the kitchen

Wigi's Kitchen is a family affair, Louis and his children Beppe and Patritzia making you feel right at home from the minute you climb the stairs and settle at a table overlooking the breathtaking Balluta Bay.

The family believes in fresh ingredients and simple cooking styles make the best meals with the freshest ingredients determining what makes it onto the menu for the day. Despite the short menu, there is the perfect variety to ensure you'll always find at least one dish that tickles your fancy.

So confident is the management of their fresh ingredients that they bring round a tray of fresh fish, with gleaming eyes and bright red gills and fresh cuts of meat, bright red in colour with creamy white fat.

Some innovative dishes, like mussels in ginger and black pepper, complement the all-time favourites including the deep fried calamari with crispy tasty batter and soft and tender fish inside for starters the chateaubriand, milk-fed T-bone, delicious fresh fish or zesty shellfish dishes for mains.

You can pretty much judge how good your meal is going to be from the bread and freebies served before the meal. At Wigi’s you certainly won’t be disappointed with delicious fresh bread, olives, cheese and other yummy titbits to keep you going till your meal arrives.

If you still can’t make up your mind then there will always be wonderful recommendations and flexibility to ensure you’re perfectly happy with what you’ve ordered. Even if you fancy something that isn’t on the menu, the team at Wigi’s will be happy to make anything you ask for provided they have the right ingredients.

Whatever you choose to eat make sure you leave room for dessert. Everything is home made and like everything else on the menu, fresh and delicious.

The décor is cosy, in-keeping with the family feeling with local art hanging on the walls. Like their menu the art also changes regularly to keeping regulars interested in the surroundings as well as the food.

The wine list is extensive with a variety of wines from all over the world to suit any budget.

Walk-ins are welcome but if you intend getting a table at the weekend it is best to reserve a table to avoid disappointment.
