Young man critical after almost drowning at Ghajn Tuffieha

An 18-year-old man from Mgarr is in danger of dying after he found himself in difficulty while swimming at Ghajn Tuffieha.
The police said the incident happened at around 4pm when members of the Civil Protection Department and an ambulance were called to assist the young man.
He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where the man was certified to be in danger of dying.
A magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
