Elderly woman discovered dead in Sliema

A 73-year-old woman was this morning discovered dead in an apartment in Dingli Street, Sliema.

The police said that no foul play is suspected. The woman was in a bad state of decomposition.

The police added that the woman's body was discovered after neighbours reported a bad stench, which alerted the police and members of the Civil Protection Department forced their way into the residence where the woman's body was discovered.
