Inmate transferred to Mt Carmel after prison officials save his life
Inmate attempts to asphyxiate himself but is saved following the timely intervention of prison officials

A prisoner at the Corradino Correctional Facility was saved by prison officials who found the man with a garbage bag around his neck.
In a statement, the home affairs ministry said the case was being investigated while the man has now been referred to the Forensic Unit at Mt Carmel Hospital.
The ministry said that preliminary investigations suggest there was no involvement by third parties.
