A Birkirkara man was hospitalized after an argument in a bar in Hamrun left him with serious injuries.

Police were informed that the 54-year-old man had been hospitalized, suffering a head injury he sustained in a bar in Triq Farsons at 12:30am this morning.

The victim was taken to the Floriana health centre for treatment for his injuries, which police believe was caused by a glass. He was then conveyed to hospital for further treatment by an unknown individual.

A magisterial inquiry is underway and police investigations are ongoing.
