42-year-old Paul Magro was charged with drug possession, dangerous driving and being in possession of burglary tools after being convicted of theft or of handling stolen goods.

A man has been ordered to undergo a drug rehabilitation programme after he admitted to being in possession of cocaine and mephedrone ('Miao Miao') amongst other charges.

42-year-old Paul Magro, from Tarxien, was arrested during the night of the 2 December at around 11:15PM when he was found to be in possession of items which were suspected to be, and later confirmed to be, drugs.

Magro was arraigned before magistrate Josette Demicoli this morning where he was charged with drug possession, dangerous driving and being in possession of burglary tools after being convicted of theft or of handling stolen goods.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charges and was placed on probation for two years, on the condition that he completes a drug rehabilitation programme.
