Police find 4kg of cannabis, seven arrested after drug finds

Seven people were arrested after they were found in possession of drugs in Paceville.

The police said two people, a 20-year-old Maltese man residing in Sliema and a 27-year-old Italian, were arrested between Friday night and Saturday morning after they were found in possession of ecstasy and cocaine.

The Maltese man, who had 50 ecstasy pills and 20 cocaine sachets, will be arraigned under arrest, the police said.

Drug Squad personnel also discovered scales and other drug paraphernalia.

A further five people, aged between 20 and 32, were arrested last night following a find of four kilogrammes of cannabis resin and 70 grams of cannabis grass. They are from Zabbar and Marsaskala.

Those arrested are also expected to be charged in court within the next few days.
